2. Who We Are

CalcNest is developed and operated by Dhanraj Kawade. For privacy questions or requests, use the contact details at the bottom of this page. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to the app developer.

3. What We Collect

CalcNest does not require you to create an account or sign in. Depending on how you use the app, the following information is involved:

• Calculator inputs and results — the numbers and values you type into any calculator (EMI amount, BMI height/weight, unit conversions, etc.). These are processed entirely on your device.
• Saved EMI calculation history — if you use the EMI Calculator's history feature, past calculations are stored in a local database on your device only.
• Advertising and device identifiers — collected by Google AdMob (see Section 5) when ads are requested and shown, such as your device's advertising identifier (only with your permission), approximate IP-based location, device model, OS version, and ad interaction data.
• Basic diagnostics — standard crash and performance data that your device's platform and the third-party SDKs we use may collect automatically to keep the app stable and secure.

4. Your Calculations Stay Local

Every calculator in CalcNest — Basic, Finance, Health, Scientific & Engineering, Automobile, Education, Converters, Developer Tools, and Daily Tools — performs its math directly on your device. We do not operate a server that receives, stores, or has access to the numbers you enter or the results you get. Saved EMI history works the same way: it lives in a local database on your device and is removed if you delete that history or uninstall the app.

6. Consent (GDPR/UK & Google UMP)

If you're located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or a similar region, CalcNest uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to show a consent form the first time you open the app, asking whether you agree to personalized advertising. Outside these regions, this form does not appear.

You can review or change your ad consent choice at any time from the app's Settings screen.

7. Tracking Permission

CalcNest asks for your permission before accessing your device's advertising identifier for tracking purposes. If you decline or opt out, you'll still see ads — they'll simply be non-personalized. You can review or change this choice at any time in your device's privacy settings.

8. Why We Use It

Information described above is used only to:

• Run each calculator's math on your device and, if applicable, save your EMI history locally.
• Request, display, and measure the ads that keep CalcNest free.
• Diagnose crashes and keep the app stable, secure, and performing well.

9. Legal Bases (GDPR)

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we and our ad partners rely on:

• Consent — for personalized advertising, gathered through the UMP consent form and your device's tracking permission prompt.
• Legitimate interests — for non-personalized advertising, app stability, and security.
• Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with the law.

10. Who We Share With

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not operate any backend that could share your calculator data with anyone — it never leaves your device. The only third party involved is Google, through the AdMob and UMP SDKs used to show ads and gather consent, as described in Section 5.

11. International Transfers

Advertising-related data processed by Google may be transferred to and processed in countries other than where you live. Google maintains its own safeguards for these transfers; see Google's Privacy Policy for details.

12. How Long We Keep It

Calculator inputs, results, and saved EMI history remain on your device only, for as long as you keep them — they're removed the moment you clear that history or delete the app. We never hold a copy anywhere else. Advertising identifiers and ad interaction data are retained according to Google's own retention policies, not ours.

13. Security

Because your calculations and saved history stay on your device, they benefit from your device's own app sandboxing and security features — passcode or biometric authentication, and encryption at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but CalcNest is designed to minimize what leaves your device in the first place.

14. Children

CalcNest is not directed at children under the age required by applicable law to consent to digital services, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads shown in the app are not targeted to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can look into it.

15. Your Rights (EU/UK)

If EU or UK data protection law applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw consent to personalized advertising at any time — either through CalcNest's Settings screen or by contacting Google directly regarding data AdMob has processed. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

16. Your Rights (US)

Depending on your state, you may have rights to know, access, delete, or opt out of certain advertising-related data processing. We do not sell personal information. You can limit ad tracking at any time via your device's privacy settings, or by contacting us using the details below.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of CalcNest after a change means you accept the updated policy.
